Collaborating with the Zweihander Reforged team solicited this feedback on our lifepath reforged video for their Kickstarter:
“This is incredible! Also gave us some ideas on how to speed a few things up.” “Everyone LOVED the video!”
You can find our names as playtesters in the new Zweihander Reforged rules-set!
Collaborating with the creators Living Metal Games and their wonderful innovative game Crucible of Aether was a blast, and the Lead Creator Jackie Prince kindly summed up her experience with us:
“Working with Denizens has been an absolute delight. Steve, Nic, and their whole crew are some of the friendliest, most passionate people I have met in the TTRPG community. They have been nothing but communicative and excited during the whole process. The content itself is some amazing quality work, both from the people involved in the game itself and from the editing work. Steve himself has also made me feel like part of the Denizens community, rather than just a one off gig. It also helps how much fun they are having playing CoA ;)”
We’ve been working alongside the crew of Peasantry TTRPG and they kindly reflected on their experience and wrote this for us:
” Hi all,
I recently had the pleasure to host a Peasantry playtest game for Denizens members Steve, Nic, and Paul. And let me tell you IT WAS A BLAST! The members of Denizens came into the playtest with such open-minds and good energy, it really made the experience a worthwhile endeavor.
First and foremost, I want to thank the Denizens team for the super useful feedback that they have provided about my game. Your thoughts on the trophy/achievements system is going to pave the way for a whole new experience of play for future Peasantry games. I also plan to add more ticking clocks to my adventure designs per your recommendations!
In addition to that, I want to thank each of you individually for being such creative and involved players:
Steve, thank you for all the goofy songs you sang. You didn’t have to do that, but it made the experience so much more enjoyable. Also, I have never seen a player attempt to romance the NecroBouncer via the Argentine Tango and it surprised me! Your character Gloria truly was a superstar trapped in a Very Tall peasants body.
Nic, I can’t say that I have ever seen someone roll so many complications, but you took them like a champ and really made the best of it all. In addition to that, I love your destructive energy. Between trying to use an acid spitting zombie as a weapon, and causing a house fire that directly led to the summoning of a demon, it was spectacular to watch.
Paul, what more can I say except that you were the Filthiest Peasant of our game! Your ideas and contributions to the complications really stood out. The fact that your prophecy of the Gilded Chamber Pot of Buslätt came true is a testament to your creativity as a player and your ability to mold the game to your whims!
All in all, I had such a great time being your GM for a night. And I recommend anyone who wants to get a good group of playtesters to reach out to the Denizens team. Thank you, I hope we can play together again soon.
