Born in Rochdale, Andy Roberts (also known as Skeffington Liquorish) has been playing TTRPGs since he was nine years old. He started with 3rd edition D&D and later began running Saga Edition campaigns as a teenager. During Sixth Form, he began writing fan fictions based on campaigns he’d read but was unable to run due to a shortage of local players, which later expanded into writing action/adventure stories in historical settings. In 2018, he left his job as an accountant to study Creative Writing at De Montfort University, where he began running adventures at the local game society. Since his graduation, he co-wrote an adventure based on Calke Abbey for The National Trust, and is also working on Misadventures in Planaterra, a comic fantasy setting of his own creation using the Savage Worlds roleplaying system.
